Congratulations to former National Beta Club member, RACHEL WOODLEE (SC). She recently joined an elite group by being named a 2013 RHODES SCHOLAR.

Rachel will spend two years studying at the University of Oxford in England, all expenses paid.

The reports of devastation as are result of the recent tornado outbreaks over the past few days remind us of how fortunate we are to live in a country like the United States. As American citizens and Beta Club Alumni we are called to serve those in need.

National Beta Club members are giving of themselves and their time to make a significant change in their communities. They are leading by serving others! Let us know what you or your Beta Club are doing to serve your community!  

MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) has been selected as the 2012-13 National Service Project.  The goal is to raise $1.00 for every National Beta Club member during this school year. If accomplished, a check for over $400,000 will be presented  at the annual Labor Day Telethon in 2013.Luke Christie, a former Beta Club member, and National Youth Chairman for MDA made the annoucement at the national convention in Greensboro, NC in June, 2012.

The National Beta Club is pleased to announce that MDA is the National Service Project for the 2010-11 school year. We are extremely proud of Senior Beta Club member Luke Christie for his continued dedication and service to The Muscular Dystrophy Association as their current National Youth Chairman.

Welcome back to Beta!  It is the goal of the National Beta Club home office to reconnect Beta Alumni.  We want to know what you've been doing with your life.  We want to know how Beta's are positively impacting their community, business, and the nation. 
 
There are 5.5 million Beta Alumni--that is an awesome number of folks--and we know there are awesome things being accomplished.  Please take the time to share some of your experiences with up-and-coming Betas.  Your stories can inspire others to take advantage of the Beta opportunity.
